About Me

Josiah Cross is a dynamic, genre-defying singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. At just 22, Josiah has already carved a space for himself in the evolving landscape of modern soul, blending elements of gospel, R&B, funk, country, and rock with undeniable authenticity and heart.

Born and raised in Middlebury, Indiana, Josiah’s musical journey began early—writing songs in the third grade and quickly rising as a nationally recognized performer throughout high school. A student of Belmont University, he studies commercial music and songwriting developing a soul-stirring vocal tone that resonates with raw emotion and depth.

His musical DNA draws from the grooves of Earth, Wind & Fire, the grit of Chris Stapleton, the power of Marcus King, and the infectious energy of Lawrence. But Josiah is no imitation—his artistry is rooted in deep faith, a rich heritage, and a relentless drive to make people feel. Whether arranging for ensembles, composing for fellow artists, or stepping center stage, Josiah brings a magnetic presence that fills any room with warmth and truth.

From singing backup for legends like Trisha Yearwood, Cody Fry, and Amy Grant, to crafting songs that tell honest, heartfelt stories, Josiah’s goal remains the same: to connect, to uplift, and to create music that leaves a lasting imprint.

He’s naturally drawn to people, a devout christian, a lover of nature, and above all, a listener—one whose soul shines through every note, lyric, and performance.
